hard dribe ribbon connector F40

I have just acquired a damaged f40. As I've taken it apart, it looks like the drive ribbon connector is the culprit.

Does anybody know a source for one? Thanks, Lapoot

Usually a good rule of thumb is to buy several "parts only" Gigabeats on eBay, so you can rip them all apart and take whatever parts you need out of them.

But usually a Google search will turn up online stores that sell ribbon connectors for 1.8" hard drives.

I've been watching for 'as is' parts items, alas, they are becoming a little harder to find. (and I'm not the only scavenger, me thinks...)

Would other brand models, ipod for instance, have the same connector?
