is there a way to compile rockbox for a player that on listed on the site like i have an RCA opal and a philps go gear and just wanted to know if i could compile rockbox to work RCA or philps

It's not as simple as compiling. You'd have to identify all the hardware in your player, write drivers, figure out how to get Rockbox to load, etc.

I actually like this player alright mainly because of the long battery life it's enjoyed.  I've had it over 2yrs and never had a problem.  I would love to be able to install rockbox on it.

There are now builds of Rockbox for the GoGear HDD1630 and HDD6330 available for download, if you have either of those two players.
