I'm cross posting this from the "My install went wrong" thread, since it's been a solid week, and I haven't gotten any acknowledgement in there.
I tried installing Rockbox using the utility on my iPod 5th Gen (512 byte-sectors). Everything seemed to go fine, but I get the "cannot load rockbox.ipod" error on starting the iPod. I'm using a Mac, so I double checked to make sure there's a .rockbox folder in the root of the iPod. There is. I deleted it, downloaded a new build, extracted it, and used cp -fv to move the .rockbox folder to my ipod. It worked, but I still get the error.
rockbox.ipod can be found in /.rockbox/ off the iPod root.
Advice?
