Remove Rockbox
« on: December 31, 2007, 07:24:44 AM »
Hey,

excuse me for my bad englisch, I´m a German.
I have a big problem, I installed the Rockbox software on the IRiver H340 which you get on "current build". The installation was no Problem, but this firmware is please do not swear and I want to get the Version 1.29 back but I don´t know how, couse the button "Now Upgrading" to select the Firmware Upgrade dosn´t work, it tells me that he Upgrades it on the backround but nothing happend.
Have you an idea?

So lets just clarify a little, as I'm slightly confused what you are saying:

You have downloaded a clean, unpatched .hex from iriver
You have booted the original firmware
You have selected upgrade firmware
It claims it is updating, then switches off (does the H300 do this, or do you need to switch it off?).
When you reboot, the rockbox bootloader is still present?

Is this correct?

Please read the posting guidelines before posting again.  So far you have used bad language, sent unsolicited PMs, and double posted.

As for the problem, we need some more details.  Could you outline exactly what you do, i.e. which file you download from where from iriver, what it is called, where you put it on your player, exactly what menu option you select, what the player says and does exactly, etc.

I want to help, but I'm not psychic.

First of all I downloaded the rockboxversion (http://build.rockbox.org/dist/build-h300/rockbox.zip)
than i downloaded the bootloader on this page (http://download.rockbox-lounge.com/H300/H300EU.zip) this bootloader is patched.
Than i copied the .rockbox, h300.hex file and the rockbox.iriver file to the top folder of the H300 drive. And than the normaly firmware upgrade.
And than the system is automativally turned off after completing the Firmware Upgrade. And now i can´t get the i river version 1.29 back
