My Sansa E250 seems to be bricked please help
jahnadridan:
Hey everyone.
New to these forums here. I just got my player 2 days ago and i put rockbox on it. I was using it fine last night and this morning when I am playing the Goldeneye64 Doom Wad, it started showing some codes on the screen and I was unable to input anything. It then just shut off and now I am unable to turn on the unit.
On rockbox, I only had a theme that was compatible with the current build, and a couple doom wads. Perhaps having the wads all jumbled together interefered somehow? Perhaps I have to seperate them into their own folder? Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Have you tried holding power for 15-20 seconds and then trying to turn on? If that fails, try taking out the battery, then putting it in and attempting to turn on. Also, this may sound stupid, but try charging it; the battery may be dead.

Yes I've tried holding the power button down for over a minute. Also I figured it could be the battery too. I then connected it via the USB to the computer, and the computer does not recognize the device, and the device will not charge either.
I get no lights turning on, it seems completely unresponsive.
zajacattack:
Well, like I said, try taking out the battery and putting it back to force a power down of the device. And, you may want to try a different battery to see if yours is dead.

I'll try removing the battery to see if I have any luck. Thanks for the suggestions. If it turns out to be a faulty battery hopefully I can return it to futureshop for them to do a direct replacement fo the unit, or do most electronic stores like best buy require you to send it to the manufacturer?
