gigabeat hard drive ?
« on: December 30, 2007, 08:51:57 AM »
ok i did a search and couldn't find what i was looking for, I have a f40 that is broke but has a good hdd i just acquired a f10. The question is can i remove the 40gb hdd and put it in the f10 i know i need to use the f40 back cover for it to fit, and since they both have rockbox loaded already should any formats be done to them or should they just work on power up thanks

From what I understand the F40 uses a somewhat thicker drive.
Since you have an f40 you can use the backplate from that and you are set.
