iPod Classic 80gb -- Compatible with Rockbox?

Trying to install Rockbox on this and I thought it was considered a "video" but the bootloader doesn't seem to find it when it's plugged in and in disk mode.

Is this version of iPod not supported yet?

Thanks for any info and sorry if this is posted somewhere... I looked around and didn't see anything.

The iPod Classic isn't supported by Rockbox, and this has been asked on the forums so many times that a search would reveal it.

You've inadvertently answered my question then. An iPod Classic 80gb is not an iPod Video 80gb.

Note that iPod Video is listed on the versions of Rockbox but on the link of iPods to compare to (at the apple site) there is no iPod Video, at least not that I could see. There's a bit of ambiguity there, hence my confusion.

Either way, thanks for clearing that up, though I could have done without the belittling remarks.

I understand how that could be a little confusing with apple phasing out old ipods...
For future reference to you Trinith, or to anyone else: the frontpage of rockbox.org says on the third line exactly which ipods are not supported.
