e280 v2 sansa firmware updater
« on: December 29, 2007, 01:00:13 AM »
Hello
According to this forum, as well as others online forums, i'm told that i can't install rockbox on a e280 version 2 because it doesn't have the option to change the usb mode to msc. Well i just installed the sansa firmware updater and it updated the firmware on my sansa e280. Now when i go to settings the usb is now listed and i can select msc. Will this now enable me to install RB? I tried, but i had no success. I don't know if it's because i'm not exactly computer savvy or that the upgrade makes no difference. I was able to extract RB to the sansa, but i can't add the patch or the rockbox utilities. Please help!!!  ???

Rockbox does not run on the V2 Sansa at all, as noted on the front page.
