Few questions before getting rockbox
« on: December 28, 2007, 03:55:05 AM »
All of the music on my gigabeat was transferred from the comp using the Gigabeat Room software.  Will this music still be on the player if i change to rockbox?

I'm also curious what software is used to put music on the player after rockbox is applied...is WMP11 compatible with rockbox or does rockbox come with its own software?

WIKI    (rockbox will not remove anything when you install it)

a rockbox'd player is just seen as a harddisc, so you can just copy and paste

Yes it will still be on your gigabeat although if it is SATA encrypted which i think it will be you wont be able to play those songs using rockbox. see the link that rosco_pc posted.

Yes wmp11 will work with rockbox as long as wmp11 can see it as a hard drive or removeable drive. Just drag and drop to the hard drive to any folder BUT NOT the .rockbox folder.

I dont think so. Check the WIKI for AlbumArt and that will tell you everything you need to know about how to get album art.
