Large Capacity Query

Rather naive query, and perhaps a bit misplaced.  I was checking out rockbox as an option for using an ipod classic (160GB) with flac files.  No go.  So now looking for another option.  Using primarily for direct hookup to a Pioneer auto deck for mobile tunes.  Looks like I'll be limited to just hooking direct up to pre-in's via RCA cables from the audio output of a player.  Thinking now then one of Cowon's products.  Any other alternatives that may be able to transfer and play flac files directly??  thanks
