Rockbox ipod battery life?

I installed rockbox on my ipod about 6 months ago but then regretiblaly had to take it off because it seemed to use alot of battery. Does anyone know if having rockbox installed runs your battery down faster and if so by what % do you think it would use up compared to the original firmeware

I have a 30gb ipod video.
It says in that link that it will last up to 10h 24min but on the ipod website it says it will run for 14 hours. Is this the difference in the battery life between the original firmware and rockbox? if so i might put it back on because it does not seem like that big of a differnce.

As you suspect, 10h 24m is shorter then 14h.
