That is where it is supposed to be.

--- Quote ---Is the name of the folder actually supposed to be "/.rockbox"? Because, windows won't let me use "/" in a file name.

The forward slash is not actually part of the folder name.  It is a delimiter indicating a folder.  Windows uses a back slash rather than a forward slash, so in Windows, the folder name would be something like:

f:\.rockbox

(where f: is whatever drive your player is).

Well, if that's the case, I have it extracted correctly. Exact error message on bootup is:

Bad checksum
Hold MENU+SELECT to reboot then SELECT+PLAY for disk mode
Partition 1: 0x0B 3859
Loeading Rockbox...

Can't load rockbox.ipod

Febs:
Are you using the official bootloader?

Ark:
Oh, my bad, I figured out what my problem was. I reinstalled the bootloader using ipodpatcher.exe, and in doing so noticed that it was a 1st gen Mini. I had the installer configured to 2nd gen when I installed it. Corrected the problem, and everything works great. Sorry for cluttering up your forum with a problem that was my own damn fault.  ::)
