Sansa e280 boot to original OS when connected via USB
(1/1)

OK I got Rockbox installed by way of the rockbox utility and it works well until i connect it via USB. Once i connect it to USB it restarts and reverts to the original OS. Is this the way it should be?
Because if this i am not able to add non .mp3 music, when trying to add .ogg and .flac files I get the old message about the file type is not supported on this device and all you can do is cancel the file transfer.
So how do i get it working in strictly rockbox mode or how do i copy my non .mp3 formatted music (about 90% of mine) to the device.
Thank you,

Febs:
Make sure that USB connection type is set to "MSC" mode in the original firmware.

Yup. No USB support as of yet... and Febs' reply should fix your problem.

You should be able to copy ANY type of file to the Sansa. Just use a regular file manager - that is Explorer if using Windows. Just plunk the files down into the hidden MUSIC folder.
