What version of the bootloader are you using?

A simpleton's approach: perhaps wipe Rockbox out completely and start all over, being sure to follow the written instructions carefully (even if you don't think you need them) and using the latest code.

could always use the rb utility to get the the newest current build and updated bootloader with 1 click

Ok well i completly wiped Rockbox and reinstalled it. I was using the most up to date boot loader both times. I thought i had fixed it but...
