iPod Video help!!

Yes, WinFF is probably best to use on Windows, but if you use Linux or Mac and are familiar with the command line, it might be easier to use ffmpeg or mencoder.  The PluginMpegplayer wiki page gives instructions on using these.  I have no idea how long encoding the videos will take as it heavily depends on your machine and the source format.

You could still play your videos in the OF system of course.
Ipods dual boot and many people use rockbox for music and apple for video.

Thanks for the help guys, it must be frustrating to help out a guy who knows absolutely nothing about this stuff.

So, now i've got all my videos onto my iPod, but when I play them, the video starts skipping.  The audio itself is fine, no skipping at all.  Anyway to fix?

now you know why some people use the apple firmware for videos

Try reducing the framerate.  Fullscreen (320x240 on iPod 5.5G) video plays fine for me at 12 FPS.
