possible bugs with Cabbie 3.0

It basically all works fine. Just 2 things seem a bit off from the screenshot:

• For the wps.. where it says "6 of 15", the icons below are almost totally obscuring that information.
• I'm assuming v3 is an improvement or something on v2.. anyway.. the theme mentions that when album artwork is present it will show it and the tag info next to it. No album art.. it'll just show the text. I'm finding when album art is present. it will show the image but not the text. When there is no album art.. text appears and aligns as mentioned.

I have a ipod 30gb. And am running with EvilGs Ice build.

Whether or not Cabbie 3.0 is an improvement over 2.0 is opinion. It is not simply a newer version of 2.0 (i.e. for bugs fixed or something), but it is a different theme (you can see that they look different from the screenshots), as is the original Cabbie (which is by a different author).

I'm guessing you are not using the proper font for the theme.  Did you load the entire theme (cabbie3.cfg), or just the cabbie3.wps file? The .cfg file sets the font as well as loading the .wps file.

starboy, please try the official build. I have no ipod to try this  on. The screendumps on the wps gallery are what it looks like on the simulator.

yeah.. I took off EvilGs build.. put on the latest rockbox ipod30gb build and it totally works fine now.

oh and 1 more question.. for the album art for this theme.. I'm still not sure as to what size I should be making each image. Are they re-sized or cropped? Should I make them all 100x100?

And for album art in general.. does each theme potentially require a different size bitmap?

it's designed for 120x120. larger pictures will be cropped.

Any plans to port this to viewports?  I just redid Cabbie 2.0 so I could have a rightmargin (text all the way to the end of the lcd just bugs me!) and I'm thinking the results are near perfection.  Right now the only downside is you can't have a conditional at this point for checking for album art and formatting the text accordingly.

conditionals do work with album art and viewports to format the text...

I could try that, I was stuck thinking in multifont mode where every single line pretty much has to be in it's own viewport which would cause complications because then text viewports would overlap the album art, but in this case the album art and all the text could be in the same viewport...oops.

It looks exactly the same, I just have the text stop where the progressbar stops.

So if it's too long, it still scrolls off the viewable area, but it does so at the point where the progressbar ends, rather than at the end of the screen itself?

Sounds solid. Hopefully that will get mass-adopted when viewports become the norm. Makes the cabbie2 theme just a little more perfect...
