Erase?

Will adding/installing Rockbox erase any information I currently have on my gigabeat?

Nope. As long as you follow the instructions in the manual you won't lose a thing.

Note that music files previosly added via gigabeat room will not play in rockbox as gigabeat room adds a layer of encryption when transfering.  See the wiki for instructions on how to remove this, or just copy and paste your music again.
