MSC not working after Rockbox is installed; can't copy over music

Got an e250, set the USB mode to MSC and did a manual install, boots into Rockbox fine but now it's behaving like it was when it was in MTP mode.  I don't get a drive letter in Windows, and Ubuntu detects a mobile music player and launches Music Player but doesn't mount anything.  I fiddled around in the Rockbox menus and (unlike the default firmware) there doesn't seem to be any way of changing USB modes.

Is there any way to put it back in MSC mode without going back to the original firmware?

Rockbox doesn't yet have a full USB stack for software USB targets, use the OF to transfer files until it is completed

But you're transferring it with the Sansa firmware... ?

I'm really limited on my knowledge on this so the best answer I can give you is most likely yes since the sansa connected/wiriting screen is being used... it simply switches over when I plug in to transfer files.

Don't sweat it, just wanted to make sure it was clear.  At some point in the future (hopefully) you'll be able to just plug in the player with Rockbox running and be able to transfer files, instead of shutting down and going into the Sansa firmware.

hey guys, im installed Rockbox yesterday and everything is working fine, but when i transferred files over in MTP mode using Windows Media Player so i sync tracks easier, the files that were synced only showed up in the original firmware mode - the tracks did not appear when i was using Rockbox. Does this have something to do with the music folder being hidden? Or do i need to chance the USB mode or something? thx in advance

If you set Rockbox's "Show Files" setting to "All", you should be able to see the Music folder, and its contents.

alright i did that, now i can see all of the files that i had added...but i still cant see them from the database submenu, only the file menu

Note: You can access the Database menu with a long click on select whilst having "Database" selected in the main menu.
