problem with instaling boot loader on e200r

I have a Vista computer and a Sansa e280. I am having problems with the instilation of the bootloader. When we tried to plug in the sansa using the rockbox website's instructions, we think that it may not be going into manufacturing mode so we wondered if it was any differant and also when we plug it in it is suposed to be recognized as a drive and it is being recognized as a portable media player and not a drive.

we already have all the firmwere files on there but not the bootloader please help us with this ongoing and dreadfull problem.

I think the e200R instructions will only works with Windows XP for now.

That is correct. The drivers are designed for Windows XP.
