Rockbox Ports are now being developed for various digital audio players!
OK, for Linux, download e200tool from http://daniel.haxx.se/sansa/e200tool.html and download a copy of the original Sansa bootloader and firmware (search for these on Google). Place these in the same folder as the e200tool executable. Then, connect your Sansa to the computer. Launch the command line and navigate to the directory with e200tool. Now, execute "sudo ./e200tool recover BL_SD_boardSupportSD.rom" (without the quotes) while holding Rec on your player. DO NOT RELEASE REC UNTIL YOU ENTER RECOVERY MODE. Finally, copy the original bootloader and firmware (and an empty file named "sansa.fmt" if and only if you want to format the Sansa) to the recover disk and unmount. Problem solved. For Windows, it's the same idea, except you have to mess around with many drivers for the Sansa in recovery mode, and I would much prefer you do this on Linux (it's SO MUCH EASIER).
