rockbox won't load
(1/1)
Smallz:
I installed rockbox and it was running for 3 days but now when I start it up, it shows the message that appeared when the .rockbox folder was not on the root of my ipod. I havent connected my ipod to the computer from the time that it was working to the time that it isn't so I don't understand how this could have happened.
EDIT: I just plugged my ipod into the computer. itunes says that it is corrupted and it does not show up anywhere else on my computer. Please help. I have know idea what's going on.
Chronon:
It sounds like your file system got corrupted. Did you properly eject your ipod the last time it was connected to the computer?
Smallz:
I think so. It was really weird because it was working fine and then before I connected it to the computer it just wouldn't work. It doesn't matter now though. I'm just going to reinstall rockbox.
Chronon:
Okay. We see a lot of problems from people who don't eject their players properly and end up messing up their filesystem.
You can try running chkdsk or some other disk utility that can repair filesystem errors. If all else fails then you can do a restore from iTunes and you'll be back to a suitable starting point again.
Smallz:
yeah im just going to restore it from itunes and reinstall rockbox. its just that it was working fine and then it got corrupted without me plugging it into the computer again. it was weird
