Rockbox noisy compared to iRiver firmware

Hello all,

I have an iRiver H120 with yesterday's Rockbox build installed. I installed it to try to overcome a noisy clicking sound which I had on the build I installed about a month ago (the first one I installed - it's a second-hand H120).

The clicking sound (like the hard-drive spinning and rubbing slightly as it spins) is still there - but I cannot hear it on the original iRiver firmware.  

Any ideas???

Are you using the remote ?

If so, do a search for remote and click in the forums - there is (or used to be) a config option to deal with a crosstalk problem on certain hardware versions.

Thanks for that - it was the remote so I have used the "reduce ticking" option on the remote display menu.  Seems better.

Ah, ticking not clicking... glad you found it anyway, mine doesn't haveb the problem.
