e200rpatcher.linux problems with ubuntu
scharkalvin:
try:
cd
sudo ~/Desktop/e200rpatcher.linux < cr >
should prompt you for your root password ....
Note the < cr > is just the Enter key.
you only have to use the "./" trick to run an executable that is in the same directory that you are currently "logged" into. If you specify a complete path to a different directory to run an executable the "." isn't needed. (It's a bash thing to prevent rogue commands replacing bash internal commands).

So I keep getting this
michael@michael-laptop:~$ cd
michael@michael-laptop:~$ sudo ~/Desktop/e200rpatcher.linux
/home/michael/Desktop/e200rpatcher.linux: 1: Syntax error: newline unexpected
GodEater:
could you post the output of :
--- Code: ---file ~/Desktop/e200rpatcher.linux
--- End code ---
please ?
mmac:
michael@michael-laptop:~$ file ~/Desktop/e200rpatcher.linux
/home/michael/Desktop/e200rpatcher.linux: XML
GodEater:
Okay - that explains a lot.
I don't know where you got that file from - but it's not the right one - it's not a binary.
Try downloading it again.
