e200rpatcher.linux problems with ubuntu

(1/3) > >>

mmac:
So I know it's probably some simple phrase that I'm missing, but what do I need to do to get this to run?  The file is on my desktop, I'm running Ubuntu 7.10 Gutsy, and I have a Sansa e270r.  Please help, I must listen to Glorious FLAC!

michael@michael-laptop:~$ sudo ./home/michael/Desktop/e200rpatcher.linux
[sudo] password for michael:
sudo: ./home/michael/Desktop/e200rpatcher.linux: command not found

sudo: ./home/michael/Desktop/e200rpatcher.linux: command not found

--- End quote ---

Try :

--- Code: ---sudo /home/michael/Desktop/e200rpatcher.linux
--- End code ---

instead. Note the lack "." just after the sudo.

mmac:
michael@michael-laptop:~$ sudo /home/michael/Desktop/e200rpatcher.linux
sudo: /home/michael/Desktop/e200rpatcher.linux: command not found

Same problem.  When I run without sudo I get
michael@michael-laptop:~$ /home/michael/Desktop/e200rpatcher.linux
bash: /home/michael/Desktop/e200rpatcher.linux: Permission denied

I'm going to try running it as root.

GodEater:
Have you made sure it's set executable?

i.e.

chmod a+x /home/michael/Desktop/e200rpatcher.linux ?

mmac:
I went into Properties, and made it an executable file.  Now it's giving me this.

michael@michael-laptop:~$ sudo /home/michael/Desktop/e200rpatcher.linux/home/michael/Desktop/e200rpatcher.linux: 1: Syntax error: newline unexpected
