Playing only a single track in folder view - sansa e200
« on: December 16, 2007, 02:16:49 PM »
Is there a way to have rockbox only play a single track within a folder and then stop?  I listen to books on tape when going to sleep, and this way i save power and just have to check within the file for where I dropped off.  I have this function as one of the "play" functions on my creative muvo.

Thanks in advance.

Just add the file you want to listen to to a one entry playlist should achieve this.

I thought of that, but then I have to create a playlist for each chapter.

The nice thing about the "track once" function on the creative was you just push next at the end of each track to get to the next one.

Any other ideas?

That's the only way I can think of doing it sorry - unless you choose to organise your audio tracks into seperate folders.

To quickly create a one-track playlist: Stop playback, highlight the song you want, long-click select, choose "Insert"

It will play that song, and just that song. Make sure repeat is off. You don't need to spend time creating a playlist, not really, it doesn't take long to do an insert.

This is of course what I meant by "create a playlist" - I should have explained it a bit better  :-\
