I need help with MediaMonkey Playlist please.....
« on: December 14, 2007, 07:37:38 PM »
I'm new to Rockbox and having a hell of a time making a playlist from MediaMonkey. Every related thing I can find on this forum is by rude people saying to "use the Wiki" and "read the manual". Hopfully some kind sould can help.

Using a Gigabeat F40, I can make a playlist within MediaMonkey by right clicking the songs on my player and selecting "Send to">XYZ Playlist. After I create the playlist, I right click on the playlist and select Send to> and I'm picking the Playlist folder that Rockbox created on my player. Problem is, the actual files are geting transfered from their original folders right to this Rockbox playlist folder. Why isn't it just pointing the songs to their original folders instead of moving them?? Any ideas and other options?

This is a problem with MediaMonkey. It's the software moving your files, not Rockbox. Please ask for support from the people who wrote the software.

Yes, I realize the problem may have been with MediaMonkey but I also assumed people here may have had the same problem. I thought it may have been a Rockbox thing.

I did figure it out. I had to convert the playlist to a M3u file and manually move it to Rockbox.
