Maybe picture flow could just build a dynamic play list, then upon exit that play list would start. If something was already playing then you might have to suspend the current playlist in order to build another one with picture flow.
But I don't think picture flow should be the default means of navigation, though it could be put on the main menu (so you would have files, database and picture flow as navigation options from the main menu).
OH, and btw, WOW, it really DOES look like an ipod!

I'm purposefully bumping this otherwise dead thread, because it closely matches a query I was about to make.
With much recent tweaking done in the current builds of the PictureFlow plugin, I'm wondering if any playback or database functionality has been planned/considered/developed within the Rockbox developer community. I'd welcome the ability to choose either a track or album via the plugin, create a playlist from it, or as someone mentioned earlier in this thread - the ability for the wps to link to it.

that is generally something we try to do... not everyone just wanst to play doom...
