The wiki page http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/PluginPictureFlow lists a number of supported targets, but I wondered why some targets were chosen while others were missed?

Have you signed up for the wiki with your real name, and then asked for write permission on IRC, just like it says on the sign up page?

I'm a real n00b... I didn't see that. I'll join the IRC channel and ask for Wiki write permissions. Thank you!!!

EDIT: I added my screendumps to the WikiPage about PictureFlow

This plugin is currently only enabled for colour screen targets. I know that players with greyscale screens have album art too, so it's probably the way the plugin is written. It just happens from time to time that a certain plugin is not available for some targets - sometimes temporarily until it's adapted, sometimes it is just not possible (the extreme example being the Archos Player with its charcell display).

Hurray, more pictureflow updates!  ;D

Quote
PictureFlow improvements:
* Track listing when selecting an album. Press select to go back to album view. Playing tracks from the list isn't implemented yet
* Added a "zoom" setting

Code changes:
* Switched to a state machine approach
* Some inlining and const changes
* Various optimizations and cosmetic tweaks

EDIT: I just tried it out and the new track listing feature is awesome! It actually flips and fades out the album cover. The zoom feature is also pretty handy and it's actually .bmp resizing!

A few problems I have with the plugin so far -

-With my albums that have 100 or 500 tracks, the track listing only shows the first 50 songs.

-The track listing is in reverse-order, showing the last track of each album first.

Other than that, great job!

Hi, I have just installed the most recent build of Rockbox(with pictureflow). After pictureflow finishes loading, it tells me that "no album art found." Is there a specific location that i have to put my album art?

I have tried putting the art in the -->/Ipod_Control/Music/   ..... folder, with the name "cover 100x100.bmp."

Anyhelp will be greatly appreciated.  :D

You can find it in the Album Art Wiki: http://www.rockbox.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/AlbumArt#Where_to_put_the_pictures

The pictures can be stored in the same directory (.) as the track or in the parent directory (..).

I think the problem might be the name: "cover 100x100.bmp" should be "cover.100x100.bmp", so you've missed a dot.
This could be the problem, but I'm not sure.  ???

kewlgreen: It sounds like you've got your music in Apple's obfuscated file structure.  If that's the case then the folder that a set of songs is in does not correspond to a single album.  It's a random conglomeration of songs.  For album art to work properly you will have to name them album_name.bmp* otherwise the database has no idea which album of the many in a single directory your cover.bmp corresponds to.

* album_name = the name of the album as stored in the metadata tags.  Note that some album names cannot be used as filenames due to special characters (e.g. :, /, \, !, etc.).

when i set it as *cover.100x100.bmp* it set it to all of the flow artwork.....which i figured it would.
how exactly would i name the file with *album_name.bmb* if let's say the album was Billy Talent II . . . .????

You should give the album picture exactly the same name as the album: "Billy Talent II.bmp" (If the album is "Billy Talent II")
