PictureFlow questions
« on: December 09, 2007, 02:17:03 PM »
I just noticed PictureFlow was added to the source. Im wondering if there is any more info about this plugin on the rockbox website?
Are there specifies as to how album covers should be stored so that they will work with Picture flow?
Thanks for any info, I just wanted to get up to date, b4 trying it out for myself.
thanks

Currently, everyone is pretty hyped up about changing the default theme, so no wiki page has been made for it (which would usually be created within minutes for awesome features like this).

I just checked it out... it's not quite an exact clone of CoverFlow but the concept is there! Smooth on the gigabeat too.

I'm currently in the process of properly tagging and album art'ing all my stuff just for this. >:]

Devs, landscape mode on gigabeat please? :)

What name should the covers have?

Mine are named cover.bmp and are in each album's folder. They are displayed by the WPS, but PictureFlow doesn't get them. All i see are question marks.

I got it to work. I think the arts need to be 100x100.

How did you name them?
Where did you put them?

Check AlbumArt in the Wiki for details on how the images should be placed and named.

I got it to work, it looks sweet, but we only see one pic on each side...

What a nice coincidence, I just happened to randomly convert all my images to 100x100...

I have a iPod 4G Photo. Does anyone notice that on the animation sequence near the end, the right picture's reflection becomes slightly less transparent at the end of the animation? It only happens with the right one and not the left or middle.

I placed the 100x100 cover.bmp in the same folder as my songs, but pictureflow keeps showing question marks. Can someone tell me what i'm doing wrong.

One thing you should do after making changes is remove the pictureflow directory under /.rockbox/rocks/demos. This will cause the album art to be rescanned.

Also, please remember the plugin was only committed yesterday. We can't magically implement every feature request and fix every bug instantaneously, so give it time :)
