White text on a greyscale target?

I'm trying to use white text on a black background in a wps, and failing.

If I understand it correctly, adding something like this in the theme .cfg should do the trick:


--- Code: ---foreground color: FFFFFF
background color: 000000
--- End code ---

However it doesn't seem to work. Am I doing something wrong, or is it only possible on colour targets?

I don't believe that's going to work on greyscale targets. If you want to invert the colors, trying changing the LCD mode to "Inverse" in the display settings.

That was what I was fearing (it will mean any album art will need inverting to compensate).
