iPod, after recording no playback until reboot
jrfoell:
While making some recordings with a mic (using the headphone jack) on my rockbox'ed 4G iPod, I noticed that I cannot playback the recording or listen to anything else until the device is rebooted. I saw someone else mention this curiosity in another thread: Recording test on iPod nano via line-in on dock connector.
It seems as if the recording system does not release the headphone jack device so that it can be used again for output. But I'm not sure, maybe there's a keypress I should do to completely unload the recording system? I had just been holding 'play' (to stop recording) and then pressing the 'menu' key to get back to rockbox's main menu.
If this is indeed a bug I will log it in the tracker. If not, can anyone offer advice?
Justin
linuxstb:
Yes, that's a known bug, and has been there ever since recording was first implemented on the ipods.

Even though it's a known bug, I can't seem to find any reference to it in Flyspray. Mind if I create a task?
Llorean:
I'm quite certain the problem has been reported on flyspray before. It's slightly possible that all tasks relative to it have been closed because someone accidentally closed one too many "duplicate"s but it almost certainly doesn't need to be reported again, as it's more likely you're just not picking the right keywords (or rather, the flyspray search isn't the most useful sometimes).

Found it: FS#7402
It's still open... The title/description just looks unrelated since the original result was a 'data abort' error. Maybe I'll look into this if I have time.
