I could not get things to work. :(

Chronon:
Try putting the iPod into Disk Mode or boot the Apple firmware if you want to establish a USB connection.  With the inclusion of the new USB stack, the iPod no longer automatically reboots into Disk Mode.  Instead it requests the maximum current and charges.  A search turned this up:

Be more specific.  What do you mean when you say that "the program will not load my 7100 songs"?  You select the song for playback and nothing happens?  Does it give an error?  Or have you not been able to find your music because you have not initialized the database?

Which themes are you trying to use?  Does anything change (font, background image, colors, etc.)?

Ciloteille:
Sorry for not having more detailed posts. I had little time to do so. But now I have plenty of time...

This is what I've done with my setup.

I downloaded the manual and the rockbox for the Ipod Video 5gen 30gig.

Then I ran the program and it's installed on my computer.

It wants to know where my ipod is, and what kind it is. It's under /G:

I choose Quick start

Then I install the 3 addons for games and apps and what not (Under Extras)

Then I run the program on my ipod.

I try to load the songs before I go to bed, it loads 240/7000+ in little under 6 hours.

So I cancel and try loading games and got some of them to work.

Then I plug it into my computer and my computer does not even want to load the ipod and it does not even show on my computer or anything.

Unplugging it, it boots back up. Then it will not even let me load any of my games or anything. (Missing base file or wap. When I specifically installed it earlier.

Then I plut it back into my computer a few more times. About the 5th time it loads it in rockbox but not my computer. At this point I uninstall it completely. (So I can try this for round 2.)

So I delete all the rockbox files, and the ones in disk mode.

Now my ipod is working just as it was. No errors or anything, just as I had before I started this. Now we gain in round 2...

I have a fresh copy of my Rockbox and the themes I want. But I don't seem to get them to work in my ipod. And I have problems loading much of any of my music. And when I try to load them through the file viewer it does not support it. Or let me listen to it. So what do you purpose?

Ciloteille:
Ok I have it completely installed on my now "Rockbox" and it takes a little time to even load up a theme. And I have loaded the theme from the Rockbox utility program. And the Theme is not even loaded. I have chosen the Eye White theme. And from what I see here... I see no theme loaded, or even it's menu.

I try to load my Database with music off my ipod. It took 10 minutes to load 25 songs. What do you think is causing this?

Chronon:
Please be as detailed as possible in describing what you have done.  It makes it very difficult to offer any kind of help when people have to guess at details that you have omitted.

You mean that you downloaded the theme using Rockbox Utility.  Then you disconnect your iPod properly (safely remove hardware in Windows) and start Rockbox.  Then you go into Settings > Theme Settings > Browse Themes and choose the theme that you downloaded.  Is that correct?

It really sounds like you downloaded the theme and magically expected Rockbox to change themes.  You still have to tell Rockbox to load a theme of your choosing from within the firmware.

Ciloteille:
Well I went into it's settings on the ipod. And then I looked for the theme I wanted off the ipod. I have downloaded a few through the utility. Then I loaded them. And after it has loaded. Nothing has changed.

I've done every theme on there and nothing changes. :(

(Sorry for lack of detail, for I try as best as I can. And still seem to fail at giving good information.)
