Gigabeat F40 Stuck buttons
« on: December 03, 2007, 03:34:41 AM »
Is there a fix for stuck directional pad buttons? My left cross continually stays active and cannot navigate and when you do it it cycles backwards from time to time causing one to think thoughts of smashing it.

Opened it up and repositioned the button but no deal it still had the same problem.
I then held the front plate up and pressed the back outward and this fixed it. I'm rockboxing again!

I have had the same problem. It is caused by the cross moved slightly and being pressed by the case.
What I did was just to open up the GB and re-align everything (that is place everything nicely in place again).
