Rockboy Shutdown

(1/2) > >>

LagunaCid:
When playing with Rockboy, I noticed that if I use different buttons frequently (i.e. Playing a platform game where I need to keep pressing B, then jump with A, while moving at different directions with the arrows), it randomly shutdowns after a few minute(s) of play. However, if I play a game that doesn't use buttons... "frequently", i.e. Pokemon TGC, I can play fine, but the moment I press a bunch of buttons quickly, it shutdowns after a few seconds, or minutes.
I am using a Sansa e270.
Anyone else has/had this problem?

(And BTW, as a sidenote, are the games/plugins in Rockbox written in C? As in, how much work is converting a simple program to Rockbox?)

Chronon:
I don't know about the main part of your question.  But if you'd like to learn more about writing plugins for Rockbox then I would suggest checking out the wiki.  I would also recommend checking out the source and taking a look at the way other plugins are coded.  Yes, Rockbox is written in C.

LagunaCid:
I just had an epiphany: Maybe it has something to do with the fact that my B with the Power button?
Ill try to set it out to another button but considering its a sansa, its hard to find a button as convenient as that..

Llorean:
The power button has a hardware feature where if you hold it down for 15 seconds, your player will go off, no matter what.

LagunaCid:
I didnt hold it for more than like 2 seconds at once.
Maybe for some weird reason my power buttons pressings are being added up while in rockboy?
