Sansa E200 USB port same as ipods?

Well, I was looking today, and found that the Sansa and ipod usb cables have the same plug on the end. Not the end which plugs into the computer (obviously  ::) )  

Im too scared of mucking something up, so can someone confirm/unconfirm that they work?

They are not the same and are not interchangeable (they won't fit; I tried).

you sure they won't fit?  i have what i assume is an ipod connector on my fm transmitter and it fit into my sansa... only problem is that it screwed it up too.  i think it fits, but has a different pinout.

Well it didn't fit for me, but, whether they fit or not, they have totally different hardware and are definitely not interchangeable.
