Help required please!
« on: December 01, 2007, 06:21:49 AM »
I have a Toshiba Gigabeat X30 which has been Rockboxed for about a year.  Yesterday I decided to update Rockbox & in the process I added a few extra themes. I previously used ajax as my theme but switched to Cabbie & now all I can see on the menu pages are black screens with the a rockbox logo down the side.
I have no way of going into the menus as I can't see what the player is doing.
I've tried removing all themes from the player except ajax which didn't work & i've also tried reinstalling rockbox which hasn't worked.
can anybody give me any advice how to get around this problem as essentially my player is now unusable!
any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Your font + background have got set to the same colour.  There are two ways of resetting them - there is a button combo (I think for gigabeat turn on hold just after it starts booting), or delete config.cfg from the .rockbox folder when connected to the computer.

I've reverted back to Ajax!!

I now have a slight issue when I turn the player back on.
Previously I had it set to turn on to the Now Playing screen, since I updated the software when i turn it on it starts at the main menu screen & I have to select resume playback.
I've changed this in the settings menu and selected resume playback & when I check it it is showing as being selected but for some reason it clearly isn't working.
Am I missing something here?!

Ignore last post......it appears to have been caused by the fact that I didn't have the headphones plugged in. Now they are plugged in it is working ok.  :-\

Please don't post more than once in a row - if no-one else has replied use the modify button.

Have you checked the pause on headphones unplugged option?  I rather suspect it is on...

(Best to use a descriptive thread title--otherwise, everyone would simply use "Help!" and no one ever will look ...)
