H320 europe problem
« on: November 30, 2007, 03:59:48 PM »
Hi, I was following the instructions and everything was going well until I copied the modified hex file and disconnected the usb from the jukebox.

The pc said it was safe to disconnect, but the h320 still says it is connected. I tried a reset and it still comes up saying it is connected.

How do I convince it that it is no longer connected ??

Try resetting the player by pushing a straightened paperclip into the "reset" hole on the left side if it still does it there is probably some issue with the hardware, clean out the usb socket...

EDIT: i now see that you did a reset already (shouldn't try to read this late :))

I tried this........

http://www.misticriver.net/forums/h3xx-series-320-340/11314-fixed-h320-always-connected-prob-4.html

and it worked to a point.  The wire must remain for it to work. Better than a poke in the eye with a blunt stick, but not perfect.

I had a sneaking feeling that tampering with my Iriver would end in tears. I should be more intuitive in future and leave this nonsense for the geeks of this world  :-\

Please remain civil.

Now that you can presumably get into the OF, have you tried updating the firmware again?

Considering that's apparently a hardware problem, it seems silly to blame Rockbox for it.
