made a error with RB's display

hi

I wanted to put the RB's display "on" all the time, and i did reverse !!
i find the setting : lenght's time of display in sec, i was looking for another setting, so i go down
and the cursor went on "no", then screen turn to black! i'm like in a room where i can't find the way
back to swich on the light,
may someone help to show me the path to go back to this setting, i need a complete view, because i to
go back like i blind, couting one , two , tree, four,....!!

Hi.  You didn't mention what target you are using.  It makes it difficult to give specific advice without all the information.  Generally, you should be able to find instructions on clearing your settings at boot time in the manual.  For example in section 10.3.3 of the Gigabeat manual it tells me:

--- Quote ---Note: You can also reset all settings to their default values by turning off the player, and turning it back on with the Abutton on.
--- End quote ---

You should be able to find a similar note in the manual for your player.

On your player there is a file: .rockbox/config.cfg
Edit it, remove the "backlight timeout" setting and it should work again.
