Yes, Kugel's patch for it was committed a couple months ago.

What about the DRM-loss issue, that was raised here? (someone lost permanently the ability to play DRM with OF after flashing custom code)

It might be good, to collect information about that: Which of the AMS players do/don't show this behaviour, which OF versions?

While this doesn't have immediately to do with rockbox, its still on topic here and worth investigating IMO, to let potential developers and testers (and later: users) know, what they can expect.

I think I am the only one to have experienced the loss of DRM. If I can get a confirmation from someone else I will take charge of the matter.

I can confirm the DRM-loss for my e250v2: if I want to play an DRM-protected file (from www.musicload.de) I get the message "Synchronize to continue your music subscription".

This is with a clean firmware image installed correct? (no Rockbox bootloader or anything)

Okay, thanks.

Now we need confirmations on different targets. I'll edit TWiki to reflect this discovery tomorrow unless someone does first.

Can we keep this thread on Rockbox developement?

I have no DRM infected music, and I have my doubts that our installation procedure makes them unusable.
But just in case it does, it doesn't matter for us. We don't care about DRM'd music at all. And thus, discussion about this is considered off-topic.

I won't delete the posts, so that the issue doesn't get forgotten (not the we intend to fix it [We surely don't intentionally brick DRM too though], but it may be important for users if the AMS Sansas are going to get supported).

Do we have working both LCD & some buttons on E200v2? When i normally compile RockBox from SVN for E200v2 i have fully working LCD, but buttons isn't working. But when i apply patch for buttons available in patches cattegory, i have issues with LCD...
I'm ready for testing some code if you need this.

I found something weird: I played around with Rockbox (r19857) and changed the theme to "UniCatcher". With this theme the wheel is working really good! But just in the menus, in the wps or plugins like pictureflow the wheel is still unusable.
I hope this will help you a little bit.

EDIT: The HOLD-Switch is also working with this theme.

My hello and this thread condensed into one page
« Reply #613 on: January 27, 2009, 08:55:55 PM »
Hi everyone,

I just received a c250 for $15 from buy.com, and since it turned out to be a v2 not a v1, here I am  ;)

First thing I wanted to do is read through this thread, and see what progress had been made, and I found it:

1) Amazing, you are all doing great stuff here.
2) Hard to search the this particular thread for items of interest (in my case *c200*)

So, I just pulled all posts together, with only the minimal content needed so I could search for text using my browser.

Here's the link to the one page.  It is not dynamically updated  so I will rebuild it every few days...

http://www2.redhawk.org:8080/rockbox_v2_thread.html

After I successfully do a compile, I'll be glad to lend a hand with testing.

Cheers,
Jeff

Cool, we're in the need of c250 developers. Once you compiled, can you tell me what's working in SVN and what not?
