I have "officially" contacted Synopsys regarding docs for their USB block used in this chip.

They did not even respond.

I looked at the c200v2 display init sequence: it's remarkably similar to the init sequence currently used for the c200 display in rockbox. I believe the same LCD and LCD controller is used. The c200v2 uses the DBOP port to write to the LCD controller, while the c200 talks to the PP LCD port. I'm hoping we can re-use the c200 driver and reimplement the lcd_send_command and lcd_send_data functions.

I am using an 8gb, sansa fuze and I think I have discovered a diagnostic mode in the latest firmware

I accessed it by ressetting the player (hold power on) then holding the home and play keys while turning on. this gave 4 options diagnostic, northamerican, europe and rest of the world. selecting diagnostic and connecting via usb gave access to the files including upgrade.fin and mtable.sys
im not a programmer so dont know how much this helps. all the best with the port. you guys rock

I think FS#10151 (e200v2 wheel acceleration) is working quite good now, maybe some e200v2 users can test the latest patch again and if there are no problems it can be commited I think.

I also have an 8gb fuze. Firmware version v01.01.22F
The "trick" can be reproduced without ressetting the player. Just hold play and home at the same time the player turns on.

Same on my 2GB Fuze. Firmware is  V01.02.26T.
After chosen "diagonsis" mode language and rest are reset (e.g. Time format).
Under Options new Option named "Diagnosis". Activiating it make Screen white with Battery Voltage Info (3,870V)
and text:
Quote
Connect USB to
charge or DownKey
to continue...

After pressing "down":
Quote
[SDRAM Test]
BUS= [16]bits
SIZE=[8]MB
R/W TEST [PASS]
Downkey to continue...

after this:
Quote
[LCD Text]

Downkey
to start...

(Screen turns red, after pressing down green, blue and back to text:)
Quote
[LCD Test]

TEST END
UpKey to return
DownKey
to continue...

Now:
Quote
[Keys Test]
wh-[?] Wh+[?] Rec[?]
Left[?]Right[?]Hold[?]
Menu[?]Enter[?]Up[?]
Downkey to continue...
Pressing Keys make the ? to "ok".

Next DownKey:
Quote
[Radio Test]

FREQ 107.8MHz

DownKey to continue...

next:
Quote
[Codec Test]
Earphone
Testing...
nothing happens here. Next Downkey change "Earphone" to "MIC".
Over earphone now the Mic is active and works.

next one:
Quote
[iNAND Test]
Version V01.02.26T
SIZE = [1929]MB
FAT SIZE =[1929]MB
DownKey to Continue...

Next:
Quote
[SD Slot Test]
Insert SD...
DownKey to continue...
(SD was already inserted before, after Downkey:
Quote
[Batt.=[3.870]V
Chrg.=[3.771]V

Downkey
to End.

Device shut down after this, i started it and Media Reresh started.

Hope this helped someone.

We knew about the diagnostic mode in the settings (which you can access just by uploading a fuzeT.bin named OF file too), but not that you can select diagnostic during boot and accessing hidden files in USB.

Do we use the ide interface at all for the ams sansas?  I'm trying to understand why the ide interface gets enabled and clocked in sd_init.  I thought the internal sd was on the nand interface and the microsd was on the sd/mmc interface, connected to the processor through the apb/ahb bus.   Does the ide interface need to be enable for some reason? DRAM? What's the connection here?

Is everyone else able to get to the quickscreen while browsing the list of games? I can't on e200v2, nor will Rockbox return to that screen after booting.

This is not a Sansa AMS problem. I also cannot access the quickscreen from any of the plugin lists on my e200v1. It does not work in the uisimulator either.

Its not an AMS problem, it should have bug report on the tracker, not here.
