Well didn't several ppl here say their Fuzes conked out at around 16hrs? Probably I'm remembering it wrong...
Now up to 15hrs, 5min. Volume is at -20db; EQ is flat; album is on the microSD card. Does the headphone used affect battery life, if volume is kept the same?
(The album, for the heck of it, is Saxophone Colossus.)
Llorean:
Turning the backlight on to check percentages basically isn't a good idea. The backlight can drain an awful lot of power relative to other things.
If you want to do a battery bench, you shouldn't touch the player once it's started.
bilditup1:
Oh boy. Shoulda thought of that one. Should I stop then? Apologies for the hijacking of this here thread.

Turning the backlight on for 10 seconds every hour will not be a problem.
When I run bench without headphones it's how I check if the player crashed or not.
Llorean:
That's nearly three minutes of backlight time for an 18 hour player.
I have several players where the battery level will go down multiple percentages in three minutes of backlight time.
If you want to do an accurate battery bench, you shouldn't turn the backlight on at any point during it. If you want an approximate bench, sure, it's fine. You'll know that it's a bit short due to the backlight use.
