thanks,

in fact it would be better if you run the same settings (including boosting) but with LCD always on, so we can make the difference and measure current use of the LCD screen.

revision shouldn't matter has there has been no changes likely to affect current use, so use whatever you want.

FM should work on Fuzev2 now, but there is some hint that it may not work on some models.

If you have a fuzev2 with FM working in OF but not detected by rockbox please tell

I changed rockbox to use the settings ranma took from the c200v2 using JTAG.  According to him, this saves 5 mA, so battery life will hopefully improve.  I've tested with RMAA on a few players and so no difference in output quality.

If anyone else wants to compare with RMAA or a battery bench, feel free.

My FuzeV2 has working FM in OF but Rockbox build 25814 does not recognize it (no menu item).

Either you've got the build number wrong, or you didn't update to a build with FM.

Maybe I'm confused then. The build number is right. I used the latest build from this page: http://www.rockbox.org/dl.cgi?bin=sansafuzev2

In the future, please take care to make sure you've updated.  If you hadn't mentioned the version, no one would have realized you were running an older build and it would have looked like a bug.

Anyone feel like trying out this bootloader for the fuzev2:

http://duke.edu/~mgg6/rockbox/bootloader-fuzev2.sansa

If it works I'll get it uploaded to the download server.

Any ideas as why volume is very low? Maximum volume in Rockbox corresponds to ~60% in OF (Rest of the World). 8 GB Clip+. Cleared settings, latest build (r25824). Previously I had 25493 and I didn't have this issue. I could try a more recent build, but I don't know where to get it from.

Regarding SD, I have a 16 GB class 2 Toshiba card and everything seems fine.

Saratoga, I am trying to test your bootloader but I am getting the following error when I run mkamsboot to patch OF 2.3.31:

C:\rockbox\Patched_firmware>mkamsboot.exe fuzpa.bin bootloader-fuzev2.sansa rockbox_fuzpa.bin
mkamsboot Version 1.2

ons are : 2.01.17, 2.02.26
[ERR]  Could not load fuzpa.bin

Is there an updated version of mkamsboot that I should be using to patch the OF?

I would like to dust off my M240 and install rockbox . Should I use the Clip V1 files to install since I don't see separate files for the M200V4 series?

The clipv1 files will not work on an m200v4. The current build for the m200v4 is located here: http://build.rockbox.org/data/rockbox-sansam200v4.zip

... I am getting the following error when I run mkamsboot to patch OF 2.3.31:

The 2.03.31 version of the Fuzev2 OF is supported in svn mkamsboot, but not in the released version.  Your options are to build the current version of mkasmboot or use an older OF (2.03.17 or 2.03.26) that is supported by the release version of mkamsboot.
