^^ I think changing the core clock speed screwed up the SD driver.

@ramdumbum:

That's a good clue for how it may be breaking though so thanks for posting that.

After some more specific playing around I think I concur with saratoga

because I am not getting the afore mentioned *PANIC* error while playing from the on board SD.  The error is still occurring but only when I play files from the uSD card.

I'm not getting the error after extensive skipping and switching between tracks saved on the internal (on board) SD.

Just wanted to say that with the release of r25494 I have not been experiencing the *PANIC* error message nearly as often; in fact I've only had one such fault even while playing and skipping through tracks on the external SD.  On a minor note, I am getting stalls when exiting games (specifically the spacerocks game).  I haven't attempted this on all the games; however, I can exit the blackjack game without any errors.

Thanks to all the developers for all the great work!

Sorry for my ignorance, but what device is this for?  On my Fuze V2 it gives a "Bad checksum" error, but version 25504 (from http://download.rockbox.org/daily/sansafuzev2/rockbox-sansafuzev2.zip) works fine.  Are the Rockbox firmwares interchangeable between all the Sansa models in the title of this thread?  If not, wouldn't it make sense if each model had it's own thread?

Again, I apologize if these are dumb questions.  I've read the manual, FAQ, and wiki, but I'm new to all of this.

Sansa c240/250 v2.

BTW: Build 25508 works great too. No more buttonlight blinking, no games crashing. Only sometimes the radio option do not appear in main menu after turning on the device.

Using 25504 on the Fuze V2, the "FM Radio" option is missing from the main menu.  I assumed that's because it's not yet supported.

Oh, hello there. I have a Sansa Clip v2 running OF V02.01.35P. After it got Rockbox (now a local build of r25508), it tends to crash when exiting applications.

I'm just trying to make my way around the code, and have some questions:

- Why is writing to SD disabled? What does "until stable" mean?

- Where's the code that boots OF when left button is pressed? I'm a little thick, couldn't find it for this platform.

- How do you normally debug Rockbox (esp. if you can't write to storage)?

Thank you.

Because it doesn't work. "Until stable" means it's disabled until it works in a stable way (in fact it looks like it never worked even in an unstable way).

Look at rbutil/mkamsboot , especially dualboot/dualboot.S, but I advice you don't modify this code because it's very easy to brick your Clip if you do so.

Thank you.

Print something on the screen (like in the debug menu for example)

We have logf, which stores messages to a queue in memory which can be viewed from the debug menu.  To use it, you must configure a build with logf, and then include ROCKBOX_HAS_LOGF in each file you want to log.  See firmware/logf.c

The per-file define to enable logf is LOGF_ENABLE. ROCKBOX_HAS_LOGF is what configure sets to include the logf code.

For whatever it is worth, I just signed up for an account in this forum to thank specifically the developers working on the port to the Sansa Fuze v2, and in general ALL of the Rockbox developers.  The way you have been able to squeeze extra functionality out of these mp3 players, even if they are early beta like this port, is amazing and I for one applaud your efforts.
