Narann,

Cheers for all your hard work.

Thanks to your mkamsboot.exe I now have my Fuze dual booting with Rockbox and the latest Sansa firmware. This is a huge improvement over the old firmware usually needed to get Rockbox working, it gives direct folder access to files etc. It's very useful to be able to switch between this and Rockbox to compare sound quality etc.

Many thanks again!  :)

Hope it's right topic to ask:
is there any way to disable pause from turning the hold switch up (in sansa clip build)?

Could you rephrase this, I have no idea what you mean :)

The Fuze has a protection so that the power switch is not read immediately after the hold switch is released.  I have created FS#10796 to add this same protection to the Clip.

Just to be clear, moving the hold switch up was stopping the music, not pausing it.

It's been a while.
The SD Card error still an issue for me.
Is my SHDC Card too fast ?
Navigation of the microSD is fine without any errors, but once I start playing a song it crashes around 2 to 3 min later.  Any parameter that can be set?

I have discovered some interesting info regarding the ##MUSIC# and ##PORT# directories that show in the root files list in Rockbox on the AMS devices.

As stated previously in this thread, these directories are used for MTP mode in the OF.  They are not visible in Linux or Windows due to the attribute byte being set to 0x18 (directory & volume id).  I found it odd that they show up in Rockbox.  Using a logf build, I learned that when Rockbox parsed the directory entries, these two directories had an attribute byte of 0x10 (directory).

I verified with a disk editor that these directories did indeed have the attribute byte set to 0x18.  I also tried adding a directory to my e260v2 and setting its attribute byte to 0x18.  This directory was not visible in Rockbox.

Since Rockbox saw these directories with a 0x10 attribute byte and the disk editor saw them with a 0x18 attribute byte, I deduced that the OF must be changing the attribute.  To test, I booted the OF and then pulled the battery.  I then boot Rockbox to see if the directories were still visible and they were.  I then attached the USB cable with the battery removed, ejected the device, and removed the USB cable.  When I rebooted Rockbox, the directories were not visible.  After restarting the OF or entering USB mode, they became visible again.

I am not sure if any of this is really important, but it is something that has confused me since Rockbox has been working the AMS devices.

If anyone thinks this info needs to be on the SansaAMS wiki page, let me know and I'll add it there and remove this post.

@Urutoraman:  I'm still looking at the sd card driver to try to fix several issues, see my earlier response to OldOne.  There are still some issues going on that we don't really understand.  At this point it's mostly experimenting to find clues that will help put the puzzle together...

Clipv1 is now supported, but it still needs improvements to the keymaps and FM driver.

Does support include the M240v4 ? i thought that the Clip and M200 series are identical in hardware with the same buffering memory as mentioned  way back on this thread.

They should be in the same state, but Clipv1 has a lot of testers while m200v4 has very few. If you confirm it works pretty fine then it can move into the same category

Have no problem doing that with my M240 as far as testing but what build do I use and where to get it? With my Gigabeat, I just go to current or stable build and thats it.
