Sorry to disappoint you but I recently moved to Braunschweig -- so it's about 500 km to Karlsruhe. As I'm still lacking internet at home I haven't updated my profile yet ... (but I'm planning to visit Karlsruhe a few days before christmas -- just need to check the time first)

Edit: ok, this is scratching my itch and I'd really like to come. As I have a 4 hour travel to Karlsruhe I could make it on the 8th only -- but as I still know a bunch of people in Karlsruhe it shouldn't be hard to arrange this short term. I would propose meeting at Der Vogel (http://www.vogelbraeu.de/), a local brewery in Karlsruhe. People coming by car could park at the university place which is rather near (a couple of minutes walk). We should book a table prior. I'd suggest meeding around 7pm.

Any comments? Who is planning to join definitely?

The plan sounds good.  I just landed earlier today (Sunday) and won't be able to speak with 100% confidence until Wednesday - but I should be able to do most anything on Saturaday the 8th.

This seems like a reasonable plan to me. I haven't been to Der Vogel yet, but it is in a nice bike-distance from my home. I definitely plan to come.

A pitty. Saturday, 8th, is the first Saturday since months I am not available :(
