Where do I find the files on the the player to fix?
« on: November 28, 2007, 01:30:36 PM »
I have seenmany references to the menu.c and a couple others that I want to tinker with but for the life of me I have gone through every file and cannot see it.

In the base .rockbox folder I do not have an apps folder to go into. Can someone point me in the right direction I know this is a dumb question and its probably righ tin front of my eyes but cannot seem ti get it

Thanks
Jeff

You have to download the source and change that.  The files on your player are the end result of the "make" process (compiling and linking).  You need to get the source tree and modify those files in order to make changes to the Rockbox binary.

You'll probably want to familiarize yourself with some of the development related wiki pages such as UsingSVN and SimpleGuideToCompiling for starters.

[edit: Bascule moved this to the Getting Started and Compiling forum so I removed some irrelevant info.]
