Music Not Shown On Rockbox (IpodNano1gen)
chachadance:
Ok, so I open itunes > manually add music (auto) > then drag the song of my choice to the ipod > says updated > loads on xbox
But not on rockbox? How do I make rockbox find the music?
Since it isn't working....
Chronon:
You most likely need to update your database. Go to the context menu for the database and choose "Update Now". If you set "Auto Update" to Yes then Rockbox should detect when you add files and automatically add them to the database.
cool_walking_:
The music files are in a hidden folder called IpodControl. If you just want to use the file view instead of the database, you'll have to turn off the "hidden" attribute of the folder, on your computer (I don't think Rockbox lets you toggle whether a file/folder is hidden). Alternatively, you can set General Settings -> File View -> Show Files to "All".
Spanky:
I thought I should update this. I just recently set my rockbox to display all folders. I can see the .rockbox folder and the ipod_control folder perfectly. Only problem is that the iPod stores the songs with 4 letter filenames so it's kinda hard to see whats what.
crzyboyster:
Go ahead and initialize your database in Settings>General Settings>Database (i think) and reboot your ipod. It should work and add in all of your songs (for a fresh install). Also, when you add songs, go to Setting>General Settings>Database and update it. Good luck!
