WinFF help Nano

(1/1)

cocobomb:
Hello. I have tried to "convert" a music video so i could play it on my iPod nano. i have put the presets in the right place so i open up WinFF, and selct the video. I select Apple iPod Nano 4:3 (fullscreen). And put in the audio sample rate. then i click "Start Converting" it seems to work. but when i right-click the file and go to properties it is a 0 byte file!? And when i open it all I get is a blank white screen. I have read other cries for help and i have not found any thing that solves my problem. if you could please tell me what is wrong, thank you so much.

Febs:
What happens if you use *only* the preset and don't put in any other parameters (like changing the sample rate)?

cocobomb:
same thing happens..

Llorean:
What OS are you on, what WinFF revision are you using, and what FFMpeg version are you using?

Though honestly, if you're having significant problems with the software you should seek another support channel that's focused on the software.

Try this:

Start -> Run -> "cmd".

Type or copy-paste the below and hit enter, changing the bold parts to suit:

"c:\program files\winff\ffmpeg.exe" -i "c:\path\to\infile.avi" -acodec mp3 -ab 128 -ar 44100 -vcodec mpeg2video -s 176x128 -b 256kb -strict -1 "c:\path\to\outfile.mpg"

I expect it will fail, but hopefully the error message will be of help.
