i deleted the rockbox folder on my 30GB ipod and now my computer can't read the ipod. Did i destroy it?

cool_walking_:
I don't think so.  Just hold down Play+Select and that should put the iPod into disk mode.

I've accidentally deleted the .rockbox folder from my 5G before, but if I recall correctly I could still get to the original firmware, and I could definitely get to disk mode.

crabworld:
thanks alot, but how do i really uninstall it?

cool_walking_:
Well, firstly, and most importantly, why for the love of god do you want to uninstall Rockbox??

The program you used to install (ipodpatcher, RbUtil, etc.) should have an option to remove the boot loader.

I think you should also be able to do a "restore" or whatever it's called in iTunes. That will delete all your files though.

EDIT: Actually I'm not sure about iTunes restore.

crabworld:
so once i restore it, everything is wiped out and i can start from scratch?
