It shouldn't be required to run the program (if it's in a local folder that you have access to), but you may not be able to create the link itself.

Fortunately, you're on Windows, so an admin exploit is just a quick a google away. :P

I would also like to do this but would prefer to keep my music in a different Folder to the sim.

Rather than using links, you may prefer to use the --root option on the rockboxui.exe command-line.
You'll need your .rockbox folder alongside your music files, but that works nicely for me.

It worked without admin access.
I had installed it on my home machine and copied the folder to a usb device then copied to my work pc. now it works no problems. and I can use rockbox on my pc and iAudio x5. Happy Days :)

--- Code: ---#define HAVE_TOUCHPAD
--- End code ---
This feature is described in TouchpadInterface.

On Ipod Video simulator, made the SCROLL_BACK and SCROLL_FWD button stop working on menu list (root menu, file browser, database, settings, playlist, plugins, system menu, etc). Still working on WPS, recording, virtual keyboard, everything but not on menu list. This is a bug? I am using 20071204 source .
Thanks.
